Mariners Pitcher Elects Free Agency
After clearing waivers, Jacob Barnes has decided to leave the Mariners and become a free agent.
Barnes never made an appearance for the Mariners after inking a minor league deal with them earlier this campaign. He did pitch in 22 games for the Tigers this season, however, where he had a 3-1 record and 6.10 ERA.
Barnes should be able to land another minor league contract elsewhere. In 251 career games between the Brewers, Royals, Angels, Mets, Blue Jays, and Tigers, he has a 8-16 record and 4.73 ERA.
