Indians High-End Prospect Arrives In Majors
Now that's the way to begin your MLB career. Top Cleveland Guardians prospect Nolan Jones got the call on Friday, and proceeded to rip an RBI double in his first at-bat, going 2-for-3 with an RBI in his debut.
"It was everything I could have ever dreamed about," said Jones.
The 24-year-old was the Guardians' No. 1 prospect in 2019, until he ran into a series of unfortunate issues, including thumb surgery, ankle surgery and back problems. All of that dropped him from the team’s top-ranked prospect to No. 7, according to MLB.com.
When he finally got the call on Friday, he was floating on Cloud 9 before the game.
