"I Have No Idea...": Tony La Russa Is At It Again—Pulls Another Bizarre Move
He's starting to make a habit of this. After taking serious heat last month from not only Chicago White Sox fans, but basically, all followers of baseball, for intentionally walking a batter after he already had two strikes on him, La Russa made a similarly odd decision in today's game in Cleveland, that even the Chicago broadcast couldn't figure out:
Tony La Russa decides to intentionally walk Jose Ramirez on an 0-1 count.

White Sox announcer Steve Stone was baffled as well, saying on the air, "I have no idea" when asked why he thought the intentional walk was put on with an 0-1 count. "They threw him one pitch, and apparently didn't like that pitch."
One respected baseball insider has already, loudly, called for La Russa to be fired, shortly after his first bizarre intentional walk call with two strikes already on Trea Turner, back in mid-June.
The 77-year-old manager has come under fire from all sides now, with even players privately stating there's no leadership in the clubhouse.
A strange situation for the struggling White Sox continues.
