Guardians Designate Pitcher For Assignment

The Guardians have designated Tanner Tully for assignment.

Tully's removal from the Guardians' 40-man roster comes after only three appearances. The 27-year-old made his major league debut this season and has had mixed results when called upon. In 6.0 innings pitched, he has allowed four earned runs. He also has had notable control trouble, as evidenced by his six walks. 

The Guardians will have until the end of the week to either trade or place Tully on waivers. It will be intriguing to see what happens from here with him. Perhaps a team in need of some pitching depth will take a shot on him.
