Giants Sign Catcher
The Giants have signed Andrew Knapp to a minor league contract. He is set to join Triple-A Sacramento from here.
It's been a pretty eventful year for Knapp, as he has spent time with both the Pirates and Mariners already. Thus, he now has the potential to play for his third MLB team this campaign alone - that is if he lands an eventual call-up, of course.
In 322 career games between the Phillies, Pirates, and Mariners, Knapp has 13 home runs, 64 RBIs, and a .209 batting average. Let's see if the veteran catcher will get the chance to build on these numbers with the Giants from here.
