Dodgers All-Star Returns Sunday

It was be a huge sigh of relief for the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday when their All-Star outfielder returned to the lineup much sooner than originally feared. A cracked rib took Mookie Betts out of the lineup two and a half weeks ago, but that's a tough injury to recover from.

Betts took some swings on Saturday, and said his rib feels good enough for a return to the field.

He was in right field and leading off for the Dodgers, getting on base in his first three at-bats, with a double and a pair of walks.

The 5-time All-Star and former MVP missed 15 games after colliding with fellow outfielder Cody Bellinger, and sustaining the cracked rib.

Betts was batting .273 with an .884 OPS, 17 HR, 40 RBIs and 53 runs in just 60 games heading into Sunday's return to the lineup.
