Diamondbacks Infielder Outrighted To Triple-A
The Diamondbacks have outrighted Cole Tucker to Triple-A Reno. With this move, it's clear that the team designated Tucker for assignment, and the infielder then cleared waivers. Now, he will be remaining with the D-Backs organization.
Tucker was claimed off of waivers by the Diamondbacks earlier this season from the Pirates. Since then, he has yet to appear in a game for the major league squad. Now that he is off their 40-man roster, he will need to put together a strong year with Reno to get back on it.
In 154 career games with the Pirates, Tucker has five home runs, 35 RBIs, and a .211 batting average.
