Detroit Tigers Starter Likely Done For Season
According to Evan Woodbery, Spencer Turnbull is not expected to return for the Tigers this season.
Turnbull has been rehabbing from Tommy John surgery that he had last summer. They had been hoping that the starter would be able to return in September, but given how badly the Tigers have been this season, there's no need for them to rush him back.
Turnbull will now be focusing on his return during the 2023 season. He has plenty of time left to prepare for it. In 54 career games as a Tiger, he sports an 11-25 record and 4.25 ERA.
