Cubs Pitcher Designated For Assignment
The Cubs have designated Daniel Norris for assignment.
Norris has had a rough go of things with the Cubs this season, and the truth is in his stats. In 27 games, he sports a 0-4 record to go along with a very high 6.90 ERA. With this, it isn't too surprising to see that he has now lost his spot on their 40-man roster. Chicago will now have until the end of the week to either trade him or place him on waivers.
Even though it's been a bad year for Norris, other teams could be willing to take a chance on him when looking at his lengthy MLB resume. In 194 career games, he has a 20-38 record and 4.77 ERA.
