Cardinals Pitcher Designated For Assignment

The Cardinals have designated Angel Rondon for assignment.

Rondon was very good in his lone appearance with the Cardinals this campaign, as he pitched five scoreless innings. That wasn't enough for him to keep his spot in the majors. Now, with this development, he is off the Cardinals' 40-man roster, too.

The Cardinals will have until the end of the week to either trade or place Rondon on waivers. It will be interesting to see if another team elects to take a chance on him from here.
