Brewers Pitcher Elects Free Agency

Chi Chi Gonzalez has rejected his assignment to Triple-A and has instead elected to become a free agent.

The Brewers recently designated Gonzalez for assignment, and the veteran cleared waivers. Now, instead of pitching in the minor leagues, he will instead look to find a home elsewhere instead.

Gonzalez has 67 career MLB games on his resume over six seasons. During them, he has a 9-24 record to go along with a 5.72 ERA. It will be intriguing to see if he will have the chance to build on these totals elsewhere.
