Boston Red Sox Bring Back Infielder
The Red Sox have signed Danny Santana to a minor league contract.
Santana is expected to join Triple-A Worcester and take things from there. He spent last season with the Red Sox, where he had five home runs, 14 RBIs, and a .181 batting average in 38 games. It's clear that he did not do much during his first stint with the team, but he will now be aiming to change that from here. First, he of course will need to land himself a call-up.
In 547 career games, Santana has 47 home runs, 202 RBIs, and a .255 batting average. It will be intriguing to see if he gets the chance to build on these totals soon.
