Blue Jays & Royals Complete Trade

The Blue Jays have traded Jonatan Bernal to the Royals in exchange for Foster Griffin.

Bernal is a pitching prospect who certainly will be a project for the Royals. The 20-year-old has spent this campaign in Single-A Dunedin, where he sports a 1-5 record to go along with a 5.47 ERA.

Griffin was recently designated for assignment by the Royals, so seeing him traded isn't too surprising. In five appearances this campaign for KC, he had a 0-0 record and 12.46 ERA. Now, he will be aiming to improve those numbers for the Blue Jays from here.
