Angels Sign Infielder

The Angels are set to sign Jonathan Villar for the rest of the season.

Villar was recently released by the Cubs, but now the veteran is getting a chance with the Angels. In 46 games in Chicago, Villar struggled, as he had a .222 batting average. With the Angels, he will be aiming to find more consistency.

There's no harm in the Angels giving Villar a shot. He is a 1,019-game veteran who will provide them with more experience. Let's see how he performs from here.
