The White Sox are expected to promote prospect Lenyn Sosa on Thursday.
Sosa was held out of the lineup at Double-A Birmingham on Wednesday, usually a good sign of an imminent promotion.

The injury plagued White Sox lost another player yesterday with Danny Mendick leaving Wednesday's game with injury. A possible injury list stint could be on the table for Mendick with this news.
Sosa has been phenomenal at Double-A this season, hitting .331/.384/.549 with 14 home runs and 48 RBIs in 62 games.
The twenty-two year old infielder is expected to get some real playing time while Mendick is out, however long that may be.
In an up and down season for the South Side team, it's safe to say White Sox's fans are excited about this news.
Crazy busy day so I’m really late to hear more injury news. Rough day for the Sox, but….Lenyn Sosa being called up! That’s exciting. pic.twitter.com/VPPlGufag5
