White Sox Sign Pitcher
The Chicago White Sox have signed Mike Wright Jr. to a minor league contract.
Wright Jr. is a familiar face to the White Sox, as he spent the 2021 season with them. In 13 games with the team, he had a 0-1 record to go along with a 5.50 ERA. With numbers like these, it's fair to say that he did have struggles. Yet, this minor league deal gives him a clean slate, and he will be aiming to impress to land another a potential call-up.
Wright Jr. will provide the White Sox more pitching depth in their system at a minimum. In 123 career games over six seasons between the Orioles, Mariners, and White Sox, he has a 10-13 record and 5.97 ERA. Let's see if he has the chance to build on these totals with Chicago from here.
