Video: Scary Moment As Umpire Hit In Face By Trout's Broken Bat
It was simply a bizarre play, and a scary play. Something that you don't see too often, if ever. Umpire Nate Tomlinson was hit in the face by Mike Trout's shattered bat in Tuesday night's battle of Los Angeles.
Scary moment in LA.

The handle of Trout's broken bat jabbed in through the ump's caging on his face mask, drawing blood.
Eventually, Tomlinson was able to walk off the field, visibly bleeding from his nose and above the eye.
Thankfully, he avoided serious injury. "In the mask, the broken part of the bat, that was really scary," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after the game. "I heard that it hit his nose. And so that's, I guess, the best-case scenario. A very scary moment."
