Update On Wil Myers' Injury
Earlier this week, Wil Myers was placed on the 10-day injured list. Unfortunately, he is going to miss more time than that, as Kevin Acee has reported that the veteran outfielder will be out for about a month.
Myers is having an arthroscopic procedure done, so that is what will be keeping him out of action longer than initially expected. This isn't the best news, and this is especially true when remembering that the San Diego Padres are aiming to climb to the top of the NL West standings.
The 2022 season hasn't been off to the best of starts for Myers, however. In 32 games, he has one home run, 19 RBIs, and a .234 batting average. That kind of production at the plate is low for him, so expect him to heat it up again once healthy.
