No roster moves for now. Blue Jays would need to open a 40-man spot to activate Anderson; could do so by placing Hyun Jin Ryu on 60-day IL. Club’s bullpen has been heavily taxed this week.
Shaun Anderson has been with the Blue Jays' minor league affiliate Triple-A Buffalo all season, posting a 3.91 ERA, 1.37 WHIP with 39 strikeouts in 46 innings.
The Blue Jays bullpen has been heavily used lately and definitely need a boost, so it would not be surprising to see Ryu moved to the 60-day injured list and Anderson added to the roster.
Zach Collins has played 22 games with the Jays this season, batting .212/.288/.455 with four home runs and 10 RBIs. The Blue Jays currently have Alejandro Kirk and Gabriel Moreno splitting time in the catcher position.
