Twins Release Outfielder
The Minnesota Twins have released Derek Fisher from his minor league contract.
Fisher signed a minor league deal with the Twins in hopes of eventually landing a call-up to the majors. Yet, that is now not going to happen in Minnesota, so he will be trying to get back into the bigs elsewhere from here.
Teams in need of some outfield could elect to give Fisher a chance. In 172 career games between the Astros, Blue Jays, and Brewers, he has 17 home runs, 53 RBIs, and a .195 batting average.
