Twins Pitcher Placed On Injured List

The Twins have placed Joe Smith on the 15-day injured list.

Smith has quietly had a solid season for the Twins, so they certainly will not be happy that he has to miss time. In 28 games thus far, he sports a 1-1 record to go along with a 2.78 ERA.

Smith is an 860-game veteran, so he is a very good pitcher for the Twins to have. Here's to hoping that the 38-year-old is able to return to the mound as soon as this stint on the 15-day IL is completed.
