Twins Outfielder Optioned To Triple-A
The Twins have sent Mark Contreras back down to Triple-A St. Paul.
Contreras has played in six games for the Twins this season, where he has one hit in nine at-bats. Overall, he hasn't dominated during his call-up, so it makes sense that Minnesota has elected to demote him.
This isn't the end of the world for Contreras, though. He was not designated for assignment, so he will remain on their 40-man roster. This, in turn, could help him get another call-up before the season is out.
