Twins Designate Pitcher For Assignment
The Minnesota Twins have designated Juan Minaya for assignment.
Minaya has made four appearances for the Twins this season, and it's fair to say that he struggled a bit during them. In 6.1 innings pitched, he allowed six earned runs and walked five batters. Thus, with all of this, perhaps it isn't too surprising of a development that the Twins have designated him for assignment for a second time.
The Twins now have until the end of the week to either trade Minaya or place him on waivers. In 158 career games between the White Sox and Twins, he has an 8-5 record and 3.76 ERA. Let's see if another club gives him a chance.
