Tigers And Phillies Complete Trade

The Detroit Tigers have acquired Michael Mariot from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for cash.

Mariot last played in the majors during the 2016 season with the Phillies. Due to this, it seems likely that the Tigers have acquired him to add to their pitching depth.

Mariot has spent the entirety of this season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. In 11 starts for the team, he has a 4-1 record and 4.64 ERA. With the Tigers dealing with several injuries, perhaps we will see Mariot called up to the major league squad. Time will tell.
