Royals Outfielder Designated For Assignment
The Kansas City Royals have designated Dairon Blanco for assignment.
Blanco has played in five games with the Royals this campaign. During them, he had two hits in seven at-bats, which equates to a .286 batting average. He also recorded a stolen base on the year, so it's fair to say that he left a little bit of an impact when utilized. However, even with this being so, his time on the 40-man roster is over.
The Royals will now have to either trade or place Blanco on waivers by next week. It will be intriguing to see what happens with the outfielder from here. Perhaps another club will give him a shot.
