Reds Pitcher Clears Waivers

The Cincinnati Reds will be holding on to James Marinan, as he has cleared waivers. With that, he has been sent back to High-A Dayton. 

Marinan is a prospect for the Reds who landed himself a spot on their 40-man roster this season. However, after struggling immensely with Dayton thus far, he has since been removed. In 10 appearances for the club, he has a 2-3 record and 7.71 ERA.

Although Marinan has had a rough year, the Reds are probably happy with the fact that they did not lose him for nothing through waivers. Let's see how he develops from here.
