Reds Acquire Infielder From Mariners
The Cincinnati Reds have acquired Luis Chevalier from the Seattle Mariners. Chevalier is the player to be named later from the Riley O'Brien trade last month.
Chevalier is a prospect who is just beginning his journey to the majors. The 20-year-old infielder has played in 58 minor league games, where he has three home runs, 22 RBIs, and a .205 batting average. With numbers like these, it's fair to say that he is more of a project. Thus, he will likely need multiple years in the minor leagues before getting a call-up to the Reds.
Nevertheless, when looking at the Reds' current state, it's definitely a good time for them to add to their prospect pool. Let's see how Chevalier progresses from here.
