Sale will be throwing for another batting practice tomorrow and, should that go well, there's a good chance the pitcher will begin a minor league rehab assignment.
At very best, Sale is two weeks out from a return to Boston's lineup. However, Sale's progress is promising.
While there is some speculation regarding the pitcher's role upon his return, Red Sox manager Alex Cora confirmed today that Sale will return as a starter.

Last season, Sale also struggled with injury, pitching just 42 innings. He posted a 5-1 record with a 3.16 ERA and a WHIP of 1.33, while throwing 52 strikeouts.
