Red Sox Prospect Sent Back Down To Triple-A
Boston Red Sox prospect Jeter Downs has been optioned back to Triple-A Worcester.
Downs was recently called up to the major league squad but will already be back in Triple-A from here. He appeared in one game for Boston during his call-up, where he failed to get a hit in four at-bats.
Downs will now be looking to improve in Worcester from here. It's been a rough year for him in Triple-A. Although he has a solid 11 home runs and 21 RBIs in 54, he also sports a very low .182 batting average. Let's see if he can hit for contact a bit better as the year progresses.
