Red Sox Pitcher Placed On Injured List

The Boston Red Sox will be without Garrett Whitlock for the next little bit, as the pitcher has been placed on the 15-day injured list. 

Whitlock has spent time in the rotation and bullpen this season for the Red Sox. In 13 total games, he has a 2-1 record to go along with a 3.51 ERA. This is also after he had a spectacular rookie season, as his 1.96 ERA displays perfectly. 

The Red Sox are currently trying to catch up to their AL East rivals, so losing a pitcher like Whitlock is not ideal. Here's to hoping that the 26-year-old will be good to go as soon as this 15-day stint on the IL passes.
