Red Sox Ace Placed On Injured List

The Boston Red Sox will be without their ace, as Nathan Eovaldi has been placed on the 15-day injured list with back inflammation.

The Red Sox are currently trying to catch up to their AL East rivals, so losing a player like Eovaldi is very bad news. The veteran is an extremely important part of their rotation, and this is especially so with Chris Sale still sidelined. Yet, now Eovaldi will be out for at least the next two weeks.

It has been another strong season for Eovaldi in 2022. In 12 starts, he sports a 4-2 record to go along with a 3.16 ERA. Yet, his solid start to the year will now have to be put on pause with this development.
