Rays Lose TWO Starting Outfielders In One Game

The Tampa Bay Rays got a double dose of bad news Monday night, losing two starting outfielders to injury in the same game.

Both Manuel Margot and Kevin Kiermaier had to leave the Rays game, with the biggest concern being Margot's knee injury.

According to MLB Network Radio's Jim Bowden, Margot may have suffered a season-ending ACL tear. Manager Kevin Cash has already said he will miss "significant time." He had to be carted off the field after crashing into the wall trying to make a catch.

"It doesn’t look good,” Cash said.

Kiermaier left the game in the 2nd inning with "left hip inflammation." No word on how long he'll be out.

Both outfielders have been placed on the injured list, and the Rays will be hitting the waiver wire and trade market to try to plug gaping holes in their outfield.
