Rays Could Get This Reliable Arm Back For All-Star Break
Pete Fairbanks is scheduled to throw a pair of bullpen sessions this week.
Out all season with a lat strain, Fairbanks was expected to hold a key late-inning role for the Rays this season but has yet to make an appearance in 2022.
Rays manager Kevin Cash said last week that Fairbanks could be ready to face hitters in live batting practice on June 27. If all goes well, the Rays could have the twenty-eight year old back in the bullpen by the All-Star break.

The right-handed pitcher has been a very reliable arm for the Rays the past couple seasons, sporting a 3.25 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and a ridiculous 95 strikeouts in 69 innings.
