In 16 games with Triple-A Iowa, Stout has a 3.94 ERA & 4.41 FIP across 29 2/3 innings with 14.56 K/9, but 6.67 BB/9
Stout was designated for assignment by the Cubs last week and is now a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who the Cubs are currently in the midst of a four game series with.
The twenty-nine year old has been sent down to Triple-A Indianapolis and will provide the team with some depth in the bullpen.
Stout appeared in two games for the Cubs this season, throwing 3.2 innings with an ERA of 4.91, a 1.09 WHIP and six strikeouts.
The Pirates aren't exactly an elite ball club right now, so there's a chance we see Stout pitch at the major league level again this season.
