Phillies Star Outfielder Officially Placed On Injured List

In a move that baseball fans saw coming, the Philadelphia Phillies have placed Bryce Harper on the 10-day injured list.

Harper was diagnosed with a fractured thumb after being hit by a pitch on Saturday. The possibility of Harper needing surgery has been asked about, but at this juncture, an official decision has not been determined on that front.

The reigning NL MVP has had a very good season in 2022, so it is a shame that it could be over if he ends up needing surgery. In 64 games, he has 15 home runs, 48 RBIs, and a .318 batting average.
