Phillies Designate Reliever for Assignment
The Philadelphia Phillies have designated pitcher James Norwood for assignment. To replace the righty the Phillies are calling up Michael Kelly to their active roster.

The move comes after a rough start to the season for Norwood. The twenty-eight year old relief pitcher has appeared in twenty games this season for a total of seventeen innings. He's posted an total ERA of 8.31.
Reliever Michael Kelly will join the team from the AAA Lehigh Valley IronPigs where he was assigned by the Phillies in November 2021.

Kelly has thrown an impressive twenty-seven strikeouts over just eighteen innings this season. However, for all his strikeouts, he has a somewhat bloated ERA of 5.00 and a poor WHIP of 1.55.
