Padres Designate Pitcher For Assignment
The San Diego Padres have designated Kyle Tyler for assignment.
Tyler has had quite the eventful year, as he has been designated for assignment by the Angels, Red Sox, Padres, and then Angels again before this most recent transaction. Now, for the second time in 2022, Tyler has been removed from the Padres' 40-man roster.
Tyler was never called up by the Padres this season. In 11 games with Triple-A El Paso, he has a 1-1 record to go along with a 5.51 ERA. Thus, it's fair to say that he has struggled and perhaps this is a move that could have been predicted. Now, the Padres have until the end of the week to place him on waivers or trade him. Let's see what happens on that front.
