Padres Bring Back Veteran Infielder
The San Diego Padres are bringing back Robinson Cano, as they have signed the 39-year-old to a minor league contract.
Cano will now be aiming to earn a promotion back to the big league roster from here. On this new minor contract, he will be playing for Triple-A El Paso. It will be intriguing to see if he will be able to bounce back from what has been a disastrous start to the 2022 campaign.
In 24 games split between the Mets and Padres this year, Cano has one home run, four RBIs, and a .149 batting average. He struggle more with the Padres, however, as he had a very low .091 batting average. Alas, let's see if he can rebound from here.
