Orioles Designate Pitcher For Assignment
The Baltimore Orioles have designated Cody Sedlock for assignment.
Sedlock was once viewed as one of Baltimore's best prospects, but things have changed dramatically on that front. This is made abundantly clear by the organization removing him from their 40-man roster.
Sedlock appeared in one game for the Orioles this season and struggled immensely during it. In three innings pitched, he allowed five earned runs on six hits. In nine games with Triple-A Norfolk, he has a 2-1 record and 5.56 ERA. It's just been a hard year for the Illinois native, but perhaps a change of scenery could help him bounce back. Let's see if another club takes a chance on him from here.
