Orioles Claim Infielder Off Waivers

Jonathan Arauz is going from one AL East team to another, as he has been claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles from the Boston Red Sox.

Arauz has made appearances in each of the last three seasons with the Red Sox. In 59 games over that span, he has four home runs, 18 RBIs, and a .204 batting average. Yet, he will now be joining a rebuilding Orioles club. Perhaps this will give him the chance to play in the majors more often. 

Arauz will provide the Orioles with a solid depth infielder. He also comes with immense versatility, as he can play second base, third base, and shortstop. It's always good to have a player like but even more so when they are acquired for free.
