Orioles Acquire Pitcher From Marlins
Earlier this season, the Baltimore Orioles traded Cole Sulser and Tanner Scott to the Miami Marlins for a player to be named later. Now, that player has been determined, as prospect Yaqui Rivera is heading to Baltimore.
Rivera is definitely what you would call a project, as he is an 18-year-old pitcher just getting his career started. In 12 career minor league games, he has a 0-2 record to go along with a 3.69 ERA. He has several more seasons to go before getting a chance to the majors, but the Orioles aren't in a position where they need to rush their prospects.
Alas, it will be intriguing to see how Rivera progresses from here. Perhaps we will see him in the majors with the Orioles later down the road.
