Nationals Sign Pitcher
The Washington Nationals have signed Edgar Garcia to a minor league contract. He will begin his time with the organization down in Double-A Harrisburg.
Garcia made appearances over each of the last three seasons and will be hoping to make his 2022 debut shortly. In 52 career games between the Phillies, Rays, Reds, and Twins, he has a 2-1 record to go along with a 7.74 ERA.
At worst, the Nationals have added a pitcher with MLB experience to their depth. However, with the Nationals not possessing the strongest pitching staff, we very well could see Garcia get a call-up later down the road.
