Nationals Pitcher Designated For Assignment

The Washington Nationals have designated Austin Voth for assignment.

Perhaps the end of Voth's time on the 40-man roster could have been predicted. His 2022 season has been disastrous, as he has a very high 10.13 ERA in 19 chances. He hasn't been able to find consistency all season and now has lost his job in Washington's bullpen as a result of it.

Yet, that doesn't automatically mean that Voth can't bounce back from here. The Nationals have until the end of the week to trade him or place him on waivers. If he finds a new home, the change of scenery could benefit him.

In 92 career games with the Nats, he has a 9-8 record and 5.70 ERA.
