MLB Rumors: Mets Linked To Reds Starter
The New York Mets currently sport a 40-22 record and look ready to go on a playoff run. However, they are still looking to strengthen their roster before the trade deadline by adding at least one starting pitcher. Tyler Mahle of the Cincinnati Reds is one of many on their radar.
Mahle has had a rough start to the 2022 season, as he has a 2-5 record to go along with a 5.07 ERA. Yet, there's plenty of reason to believe that he will turn it around as the year continues. Keep in mind, he just had a 13-6 record and a 3.75 ERA last campaign. Furthermore, he is trending in the right direction as of late, too.
It will be intriguing to see if the Mets end up acquiring Mahle from the rebuilding Reds. Time will tell on that front.
