MLB Rumors: Dallas Keuchel Has Interest From "Multiple Teams"

Dallas Keuchel did not have a good two months with the Chicago White Sox to start this season. That's an understatement. But the 34-year-old is a former 2-time All-Star who, as recently as 2020, recorded an ERA of 1.99 and surrendered only two home runs in 63 innings pitched. Apparently, there are many teams around the majors who are hoping that Dallas Keuchel is still in there somewhere.

According to MLB Insider Jon Heyman, Keuchel is attracting interest from "multiple teams." And since it's the White Sox who are picking up the $18M tab on his contract for the rest of this season, it's a low-risk shot at a minimum salary for another team to take.

It has been two straight years that the former Cy Young Award winner (2015) has struggled. In 2021, he posted a 5.28 ERA with a 1.53 WHIP, while his strikeouts per nine innings dipped below 6.0 for the first time since his 2012 rookie season.

This year, it's been even more of a tire-fire. He owns a 7.88 ERA and an equally unsightly 2.16 WHIP, while walking as many batters as he's struck out (20).

It should be interesting to see which team tries to rekindle Keuchel's past.
