Mets Ace Progressing for Return Next Month
New York Mets ace, Jacob deGrom, threw a thirty-pitch bullpen session yesterday. The pitcher is slowly but surely working his way back to full health.
The starter has been out since spring training due to a stress reaction in his right scapula. This is the fourth bullpen session deGrom has thrown as he continues to work his way toward his first regular season appearance this year.

The Mets are planning for the ace to make three to five minor league starts before returning to the team at some point before the All-Star Break.
Last season, deGrom posted a remarkable 7-2 record with a 1.08 ERA and 0.55 WHIP, throwing 146 strikeouts over 92 innings.
While injuries have plagued deGrom throughout his career, when the starter is healthy, he is one of the best the league has to offer.
