Mariners Release 2 Pitchers

The Seattle Mariners have released Asher Wojciechowski and Ian McKinney from their minor league contracts. 

Wojciechowski was aiming for a promotion from the Mariners, but now that will be coming to fruition. In 58 career games over five seasons between the Astros, Reds, Orioles, and Yankees, he has a 9-15 record to go along with a 5.93 ERA. Perhaps a team in need of some pitching depth will give the 33-year-old a call.

McKinney has spent three seasons with the Mariners' organization but never received a call-up. This season has been a very hard one for him, as he has a 0-2 record and 10.88 ERA in 10 appearances. Perhaps a change of scenery will help him get back on track.
