Mariners Pitcher Sent Down To Triple-A
The Seattle Mariners have outrighted Roenis Elias to Triple-A Tacoma.
Elias recently cleared waivers and had the option to become a free agent. However, he has decided to stay with the Mariners organization in hopes of landing a potential call-up later in the season.
In seven games this season with the Mariners, Elias sports a 0-0 record and 3.52 ERA. Overall, he has had some decent moments when called upon,, so that could help his chances of getting a second shot with the Mariners later down the road.
