Giants Starter Rejoining Rotation Tuesday
Starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani will rejoin the Giants' rotation on Tuesday versus the Braves.
DeSclafani has missed 53 games since hitting the injured list late April with right ankle inflammation. In three starts this season, he holds an ugly 6.08 ERA, 1.80 WHIP, with 13 strikeouts in 13 innings.
Anthony DeSclafani is officially #SFGiants starter tomorrow. They’ll have to make moves to get him on the 26-man and 40-man rosters.

The veteran pitcher made two rehab starts with Triple-A Sacramento and allowed three earned runs in 5.2 innings. His last start in Triple-A was only 2.2 innings, so there is a good chance DeSclafani is on a pitch count for Tuesday evening.
The stats this year from DeSclafani are not too attractive, which has fans hesitant to see him rejoin the rotation. However, the thirty-two year old was fantastic in his first year as a Giant last season, posting a 13-7 record with a 3.17 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and throwing two shutout games.
I’m a little stunned at #SFGiants’ Twitter dismay at the idea of Anthony DeSclafani returning. He was outstanding last season, outside of a few clunkers against baseball’s best offense, and is a huge boost to a club lacking rotation depth.

With the addition of DeSclafani, the Giants now have all five of their top starters back in their rotation.
