Giants Pitcher To Miss Time
The San Francisco Giants will be without Jakob Junis, as the starter has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a hamstring strain. Unfortunately for Junis, it seems likely that he will miss more than just 15 days, as he has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain.
This is certainly disappointing news, as Junis has been having a career year thus far with the Giants. In nine appearances, he has a 4-1 record to go along with a 2.63 ERA. However, with this latest development, his hot start to the year will now have to be put on pause.
The Giants are currently trying to catch up to the Dodgers and Padres in the NL West standings, so losing an effective pitcher in Junis is not ideal at all. Alas, we will need to keep a close eye on how well he recovers from here.
